Sahara Las Vegas to Host This Year’s Project 150 Las Vegas Prom Closet

Project 150 is proud to announce its collaboration with Sahara Las Vegas for the upcoming Las Vegas Prom Closet, an annual spring event hosted by Project 150, dedicated to ensuring high school students have access to free prom attire and accessories.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in the exquisite CONGO Ballroom at Sahara Hotel.

LAS VEGAS PROM CLOSET DETAILS:
The Las Vegas Prom Closet, hosted by Las Vegas-based nonprofit organization Project 150, aims to provide a memorable and inclusive prom experience for local high school students. This initiative is made possible through generous donations from countless residents and the unwavering support of The Sahara Las Vegas.

This year, Project 150 anticipates assisting more than a thousand local students needing prom attire. The event is free for high school students with a valid student ID, and pre-registration is required. Interested students can register for the event HERE.  

Prom is a significant rite of passage for high school students, marking the transition from adolescence to adulthood. It is a momentous occasion for self-expression, celebration, and camaraderie. Every teenager deserves to feel like a glamorous movie star or rockstar on this special night, regardless of their financial circumstances. Join us in making prom dreams come true for Las Vegas high school students.

At Project 150, our mission is to empower and support high school students facing homelessness, and with the generous support of The Sahara Las Vegas, we have found an incredible venue to host this transformative event,” said Kelli Kristo, Project 150 Executive Director.

NOW  ACCEPTING DONATIONS:
Project 150 is currently accepting donations of new or like-new formal attire for high school students’ proms. Donations can include men’s and women’s suits, dresses, gowns, shoes, jewelry, and more. Drop-offs are welcome at both Project 150 locations, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM through February 28th.

ABOUT PROJECT 150:
Project 150 is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization dedicated to supporting and empowering high school students experiencing homelessness or challenging circumstances in Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada.

Through various initiatives, including the Las Vegas Prom Closet, Project 150 strives to provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities that enable these students to reach their full potential.
