By popular demand, progressive rock legend Alan Parsons brings his acclaimed Alan Parsons Live Project back to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

A Rock and Roll Journey with a Grammy Award Winner
A Grammy Award winner and true rock icon, Parsons’ career began on the engineering team at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios. In 1975, he formed The Alan Parsons Project, a progressive rock band that achieved both commercial and critical success.
The band is known for platinum-selling albums like I, Robot (1977) and Eye in the Sky (1982), both of which spawned Billboard Top 40 hits such as “Eye in the Sky,” “Time,” and “Don’t Answer Me.”
Live Performances with Stellar Musicians
Since 1999, Parsons has toured extensively with his Alan Parsons Live Project, featuring a talented group of musicians including vocalist P.J. Olsson, lead guitarist Jeff Kollman, and drummer Danny Thompson.
New Studio Albums Keep the Music Fresh
Parsons hasn’t stopped creating new music. He has released two recent studio albums: The Secret (1999) and From the New World (2022). These albums feature guest appearances from renowned musicians like guitarists Steve Hackett (Genesis) and Joe Bonamassa, and singers Lou Gramm (Foreigner) and Jason Mraz.
A Career Steeped in Innovation
A 13-time Grammy nominee, Parsons finally won the award in 2019 for Best Immersive Audio Album. The honor recognized the 35th Anniversary Edition of the classic Alan Parsons Project album Eye in the Sky.
Parsons’ career began as an assistant engineer at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. He worked on iconic projects like The Beatles’ Abbey Road and Let It Be. He became a highly sought-after name in the recording industry after his work on Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon.
