The Center will honor the legacy of Robert “Bob” Forbuss with a weeklong celebration of events from January 25 to 29, 2021.
Forbuss, who died in 2012, was a native Nevadan, educator, elected official, businessman, activist, and philanthropist devoted to many causes.
The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada building bears his name, and a poignant bronze bust adorns the lobby. “Bob loved architecture, theater and the arts, and had a strong desire to make Las Vegas a better place to live,” says John Waldron, CEO of The Center. “We hope to honor his passions and achievements this week.”
