The Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association will host a charity golf tournament presented by Remington Nevada at Bear’s Best Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 18 at 10 a.m. PT.
The all-new non-profit organization is dedicated to former NHL players with a focus on giving back to the community, growing the sport of hockey and supporting mental health and well-being efforts. Leading the efforts behind the VGK Alumni Association are Deryk Engelland, President, and Shane Hnidy, Vice President.
Members of the Golden Knights organization will take part in the event as well as celebrities including Engelland, Hnidy and former Major League Baseball All-Star Jason Giambi. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go to the DREAM Program started by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to redirect and empower troubled youth through law enforcement mentorship.
“We are excited to host the first significant fundraising event for the VGK Alumni Association,” Engelland said. “Bear’s Best Las Vegas will be a spectacular site and we know that this will be a special day for everyone involved, all to benefit a truly meaningful cause.”
