Grand opening weekend festivities include cookie eating contest, live entertainment, giveaways, prizes, and more
Hockey-inspired premium treat shop Pucks Cookies & Treats opens at The District at Green Valley Ranch on Friday, March 18, marked by an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. with owners Jenny Lynne and Mark Edington, the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and City Councilwoman Michelle Romero.
The festivities continue on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a live DJ, roller dancer and other entertainers, giveaways, and a cookie eating contest. All cookies and treats will be 15 percent off throughout Friday and Saturday.
Baked fresh from scratch daily with premium ingredients and dough mixed in-house, cookies are offered in classic and inventive flavors including classic chocolate chip, peanut butter, peanut butter cup, vanilla icing, pretzel caramel, M&M, mint chocolate icing, and a chocolate chip gluten-free option.
Named after common hockey terms, the decadent treats portion of the menu features the “Puck Drop,” a cookie topped with a scoop of ice cream and sprinkles, chocolate or caramel; the “Clapper,” a scoop of ice cream sandwiched between two cookies; the “Hat Trick,” a double-decker ice cream sandwich; and the “Barn Burner,” a cookie topped with ice cream, then covered in a baked meringue outer layer. Pucks also offers special packaging for holidays and gifts, as well as catering.
Pucks Cookies & Treats is located next to Shake Shack and is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit eatpucks.com.
