The teams at Blue Ribbon Restaurants and Station Casinos are pleased to announce the Friday, March 29 grand opening of Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill in Henderson as part of Green Valley Ranch’s property-wide transformation. The restaurant is now taking reservations via OpenTable and will open to the public at 3:30 p.m.
The new 124-seat Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill features plenty of seating options in a modern space, with wood accents, cozy booths, and a long, 13-seat sushi counter. The restaurant boasts high-quality sushi and sashimi, using the freshest ingredients from around the world, as well as an array of hot Japanese specialties, grilled items, and their iconic Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken (with Wasabi Honey). Originating in New York City almost thirty years ago, and opening at Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa in 2017, this acclaimed dining concept is well-known across the country for pristine quality fish, distinct grilled dishes, attentive service, and fun, relaxed hospitality.
The Bromberg brothers first brought their world-class yet accessible Blue Ribbon Sushi brand to life in New York’s Soho neighborhood in 1995 with the opening of Blue Ribbon Sushi with late partner and Master Sushi Chef Toshi Ueki. Then, in 2007, Chef Ueki and the Brombergs created their first Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill in midtown at the 6 Columbus Hotel. The restaurant introduced an entirely new dining concept, combining their traditional sushi menu with the American comfort food that the Bromberg Brothers had become famous for at their flagship restaurant (and well-known chef’s hangout), the beloved Blue Ribbon Brasserie. Other variations of Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill have since opened in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Miami.
Building on those successes (and Chef Ueki’s inspiration), Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill at Green Valley Ranch will serve an enticing selection of fresh sushi, sashimi, and traditional Japanese specialties, along with nightly sushi bar specials of seasonal items, and upscale grilled and other cooked fare like the Center Cut Ribeye with Ponzu, Steak Frites* an 8 oz Wagyu Skirt Steak with Miso Pepper Sauce & Wagyu Fat Fries, and a Surf & Turf an 4 oz Wagyu Skirt Steak served with Truffle Teriyaki, and 1/2 Baked Miso Lobster. An impressive “Chef’s Choice Omakase” is also offered for $125 per person.
The beverage list features an assortment of signature cocktails, premium Japanese whiskey, and beer, along with a unique and varied sake selection, which includes Blue Ribbon’s own proprietary Junmai, Junmai Ginjo, Junmai Daiginjo, and Nigori.
Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill will be open seven days a week for dinner from 3:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 3:30 to 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday. Additionally, starting Friday, April 5 Blue Ribbon will be open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
