Through the generosity and support of the local community and headline sponsors including Golden Entertainment, William Hill, Gaming Arts and Wynn Resorts, the sixth annual “Food is Art” dine-around raised more than $200,000 for the ALS Association Nevada Chapter.
Held 855 feet high at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod, “Food is Art” showcased the cuisine of local chefs from Las Vegas’ top restaurants, including Top of the World, PT’s Taverns, Al Solito Pasto, Stockman’s Steakhouse, River Rock Pizza & Pasta, Pierro’s and a variety of restaurants from ARIA Resort and Casino, among others. Hundreds of guests attended to support the cause.
Top-selling auction items included a signed guitar by Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar; a home dinner for six, prepared by Bradley Manchester, executive chef for Golden Entertainment; and a two-night stay at the Aquarius Casino Resort, including four cabana rentals, dinner at River Rock Pizza & Pasta and tickets to see Toby Keith in concert.
Funds raised will assist the non-profit organization in its mission to serve all people in Nevada and their families who are living with and fighting ALS one person at a time. Association Nevada Chapter provides much-needed programs that offer emotional, physical, and financial assistance and currently serves 130 people in Nevada living with ALS.
