Kiki Valera y su Son Cubano closes two-night concert series presented by City of Henderson
Kiki Valera y su Son Cubano, a renowned fourth-generation descendent of Cuba’s famed Familia Valera Miranda ensemble, is performing Saturday, August 28 at Water Street Plaza Amphitheater in downtown Henderson.
Originally from Santiago de Cuba, Valera is a multi-instrumentalist and composer best known as one of the world’s greatest players of the Cuban Cuatro.
His authentic Cuban sounds have led him to perform internationally including North American festivals such as the Earshot Jazz Festival, WOMAD Festival, Smithsonian Folklife Festival, Midsummer Night Swing at Lincoln Center and more.
Valera is the second and final performance in the City of Henderson’s August Nights Summer Concert Series featuring sizzling Latin music from acclaimed musicians.
Tickets for Kiki Valera y su Son Cubano are $5 and can be purchased in advance online at cityofhenderson.com. Seating is first-come, first-served and complimentary water will be available.
