MINA Group will debut a vibrant new concept when the first-of-its-kind mixed-use community opens early 2022
UnCommons, a first-of-its-kind mixed-use community by Matter Real Estate Group, will be home to a new fast-casual restaurant and first off-Strip concept by James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Mina’s innovative restaurant management company, MINA Group. The dynamic new concept led by MINA Group Executive Chef and Partner Adam Sobel will blend East Coast nostalgia with premium ingredients for a vibrant experience in southwest Las Vegas.
“MINA Group is behind some of the most iconic culinary experiences in the world,” said Matter Real Estate Group Partner Jim Stuart. “To know that we’ll be bringing this fun new concept to life is an incredible testament to the culinary excitement that will be found at UnCommons and underscores MINA Group’s commitment to building community in the Valley.”
Designed to echo MINA’s reputation for chef-driven cuisine and superior service in a fun and unique setting, Sobel, an accomplished culinary leader who joined MINA Group in 2011, has developed this new concept to bring casual, curated fare to UnCommons. The soon-to-be announced concept joins the community’s thoughtfully crafted lineup of inspired food and beverage offerings, including the first neighborhood Urth Caffé and an 18,000-square-foot food hall. Sobel oversees culinary direction for the group’s 40+ restaurants and virtual brands across the U.S. and Dubai and is leading several new concepts for the fast-growing restaurant group.
“When we first heard about UnCommons, we immediately recognized that this was going to be like nothing else and jumped at the opportunity to debut our first Las Vegas concept beyond the Strip,” said MINA Group Founder and Owner Chef Michael Mina. “We have no doubt that UnCommons is set to become the first choice for locals seeking a dynamic portfolio of culinary options in a destination-worthy setting.”
Opening next year, UnCommons will reimagine the workplace experience with market-leading design and technology, floor-to-ceiling windows that welcome daylight and views of the natural Las Vegas surroundings, breakout spaces for individual work or small group collaboration, a conference center that can be used to host small meetings and workshops and more. Bringing together multiple fitness studios, open-air common areas, contemporary residential units and a mélange of food and beverage options, the campus will set the foundation for a thriving, inspiring workplace. Future phases will bring UnCommons to more than 500,000 square feet of modern office space, built with distinctive architectural features and the latest in safety innovations.
