The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada announced that Wayne Cassard has been elected chairperson of the Governing Board of Directors.
Cassard replaces Brian Hosier, who joined the staff as chief operating officer. Cassard joins Ryn Bartel as vice-chairperson, Osen Pogoson as treasurer, and Shalom Stephens as secretary.
Cassard is the market director of human resources for The Valley Health System. He provides oversight and develops strategies for human resources, education & training, and security for the seven-hospital system.
Before joining The Valley Health System, he lived and worked in California, where he held human resources executive leadership positions with Tenet Healthcare, Providence Health System, and Kaiser Permanente. Cassard has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Administration from Nicholls State University.
