Kline Veterans Fund is thrilled to host its Stars & Strikes charity bowling tournament on Sunday, July 2, from 3-5pm at the Suncoast Bowling Center located at 9090 Alta Drive in Summerlin.
This afternoon of patriotic fun raises money for programs supporting homeless and at-risk veterans and their families in Southern Nevada. Presented by the Engelstad Foundation, this event aims to bring the community together in celebration of Independence Day while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those who have honorably served our country.
This family-friendly event promises an exciting lineup of activities and entertainment for all ages to enjoy. In addition to bowling, guests can meet and take a photo with Las Vegas Aviators mascot Spruce, get free tickets to a Las Vegas Lights soccer match, play games and win prizes for the most patriotic costumes. One lucky attendee will win a team-signed Vegas Golden Knights hockey stick.
The funds raised from this event directly benefit homeless prevention initiatives, scholarships for veteran-dependent students, service dog training for disabled veterans, and supportive services for veterans in assisted living and hospice care.
“Stars & Strikes embodies the spirit of Independence Day and gathers the Las Vegas community together to support our local veterans,” said Stephanie Helms, Executive Director of Kline Veterans Fund. “Together we can make a positive impact on the lives of those who have selflessly served our country, providing them with the support and resources they need and deserve.”
The Engelstad Foundation’s participation underscores its commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of Southern Nevada veterans. Through their philanthropic efforts, they play a vital role in supporting the well-being and overall quality of life for those who have proudly served our nation.
“Our veterans have given so much to our community and our country, so we are honored to support them locally via this event,” said Kris Engelstad, trustee of the Engelstad Foundation. “It’s organizations like Kline Veterans Fund that are looking out for our heroes and those most at-risk on a daily basis here in Las Vegas. We will continue to prioritize supporting organizations just like them, as they are making a meaningful impact.”
Tournament sponsors include JPG Insurance, Boyd Gaming, News 3, Veteran Benefits Guide, Amusement Exhibit & Event Services, Bank of Nevada, Bighorn Law, Compassion Care Hospice, Guy Fieri Foundation, Veteran Social Club, and the Paw Spa.
