The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower will honor Mexican Independence Day with festive dishes and drinks at its restaurants, bars and lounges from Friday, September 13 to Monday, September 16.
Top of the World, famous for its spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip and mountains from a 360-degree rotating dining room, will feature its Elevated Margarita crafted with Casamigos blanco tequila, Cointreau orange liqueur, lime and salted sea foam, priced at $21; the Chiles En Nogada entrée made with roasted poblano peppers, slow braised wagyu beef picadillo, walnut cream and pomegranate, priced at $65; and a chocoflan dessert with horchata crème anglaise, priced at $15.
REMIX Lounge, 108 Drinks, PT’s Wings & Sports, and View Lounge will offer Mexican candy shots, priced at $8, featuring Casamigos Blanco Tequila, watermelon pucker, lime, jalapeño, Chamoy, and Tajin; and Dos Equis lager with a traditional salted rim, priced at $6.
PT’s Wings & Sports and View Lounge will be also feature festive dishes including red pozole made with traditional Mexican stew, tender pork, hominy, dried Mexican chiles, tostadas, shredded lettuce, diced onions, oregano, radishes and lime, priced at $29; a fully loaded Mexican torta with breaded beef cutlet, ham, marinated pork, sausage, cheddar and manchego cheeses, mayo, shredded lettuce, tomato, avocado, refried black beans and telera, priced at $26; and queso fundido featuring bubbling hot melted oaxaca cheese, chorizo dip and pico de gallo, served with corn or flour tortillas and priced at $20.
Guests can also celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Swim & Social, the rooftop resort-style pool on the eighth floor of The STRAT. Specials will include a Corona bucket with five beers, priced at $35; the Beer and Shot special featuring a Corona Extra with a shot of Hornitos Plata tequila, priced at $13; and a margarita on the rocks crafted with Hornitos Plata tequila, Cointreau orange liqueur, lime, agave nectar and salt, priced at $10.
The refreshing drinks can be enjoyed alongside tasty Mexican-inspired bites like quesabirria made with braised short rib, a flour tortilla, pepper jack cheese, beef consommé, lime, cilantro and onions, priced at $21; and crispy skin pork belly chicharron with guacamole, red salsa and corn tortillas, priced at $19.
