From Brunch in the Sun to Dinner Under the Lights, Las Vegas Offers an Abundance of Options
Spring has arrived, and with it so has fabulous weather in Las Vegas ideal for al fresco dining. From patios surrounded with beautifully landscaped gardens to terraces overlooking the iconic Las Vegas Strip, the destination’s outdoor dining options are aplenty.
Outdoor Dining on the Strip
Caesars Entertainment offers several restaurants with outdoor options. Starting Monday, April 3, the Green Fairy Garden outside Absinthe’s Spiegeltent performance space at Caesars Palace will offer outdoor dining with a menu of burgers, tots, cocktails and more. Visitors can dine on celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis’ Italian fare with a Californian twist at GIADA at The Cromwell, which offers rooftop views of Las Vegas Boulevard through retractable windows. Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar at The LINQ Hotel + Experience, featuring the Food Network star’s take on classic bar food, has a 6,500-square-foot patio in the middle of the center-Strip action. Nearby, The LINQ Promenade offers a number of outdoor spaces along its lively thoroughfare, including Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar and Virgil’s Real Barbecue. The longtime favorite Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas offers Strip-side people-watching on its Parisian-inspired patio, while an elevated view comes with brews and classic bar bites at the resort’s rooftop Beer Park. Cabo Wabo Cantina, Sammy Hagar’s rock ’n’ roll Mexican eatery, also offers visitors an outdoor perch at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The open-air Plaza at Fashion Show Las Vegas houses a handful of dining terraces positioned right on Las Vegas Boulevard, including famed teppanyaki spot Benihana, taqueria and margarita bar El Segundo Sol and RA Sushi Bar & Restaurant.
Sugar Factory offers plentiful menu items beyond sweet treats, as visitors can dine on salads, sandwiches, pasta and more while enjoying the sights—and snapping photos in front of Instagram-worthy backdrops—from Harmon Corner.
MGM Resorts International hosts several restaurant options offering outside dining. Breakfast and lunch favorites come with views of ARIA Resort & Casino’s landscaped pool area at Salt & Ivy Café & Patio Bar. Nearby at Bellagio Resort & Casino visitors can watch its iconic Fountains of Bellagio while enjoying Italian dishes at LAGO by Julian Serrano; fine French cuisine at the AAA Five-Diamond Award-winning Picasso; a wide selection of cuts and seafood at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s PRIME Steakhouse; elevated American fare at Wolfgang Puck’s famed Spago; or sushi, shared plates and more at Michelin star winner Akira Back’s Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge. Elsewhere on the Strip, visitors can dine al fresco at the top of the Delano Las Vegas at Alain Ducasse’s French and Italian-inspired Rivea. People-watching and more casual fare can be found at the Strip-side patios of Nine Fine Irishmen and Tom’s Watch Bar at New York-New York Hotel & Casino, as well as the nearby Beerhaus beer hall at The Park.
A hideaway offering mouthwatering cocktails and handheld bites, Rhumbar Tropical Ultra Lounge at The Mirage Hotel & Casino features a patio with an outdoor bar, fire-pit seating, live music and more.
Resorts World Las Vegas offers a handful of fresh-air venues. Visitors can enjoy traditional Italian fare under strung lights at the lush patio of Brezza; prime cuts and craft cocktails at the tranquil, cherry tree-lined patio of Carversteak; contemporary Asian cuisine at the indoor-outdoor dining room of FUHU; or the bright and bold flavors of Ray Garcia’s traditional Mexican dishes under a canopy of greenery at ¡VIVA!
Visitors can say “ciao” to those taking gondola rides at Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, as the restaurant’s patio overlooks the canals at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Nearby at Bouchon, Thomas Keller’s French bistro classics can be enjoyed on its terrace overlooking the lush landscape of the hotel’s pool area. The resort also boasts Strip-side patios at LAVO Italian Restaurant and WAKUDA, a recent Japanese addition to its restaurant collection.
Wynn Las Vegas offers numerous options, each with a unique atmosphere. The resort offers outdoor dining with views of its pine tree-lined Lake of Dreams attraction at the seafood-centric Lakeside and SW Steakhouse. An intimate courtyard featuring magnolia trees and illuminated by hanging lanterns can be found at Delilah, a supper club concept offering elevated American cuisine and live entertainment. Mizumi offers al fresco dining on its patio surrounded by Japanese gardens, with a 90-foot waterfall serving as the centerpiece. Visitors can also dine under the stars by fireplaces at Sinatra, where some of the namesake star’s favorite Italian dishes are on the menu.
Al Fresco Dining in Downtown
The Arts Factory, a multi-use space in downtown’s Arts District, is home to 18Bin. Serving craft beers alongside pub favorites, the restaurant opens up to an expansive patio with a chic and rustic aesthetic.
Downtown Container Park, an open-air shopping center on historic Fremont Street, offers visitors al fresco dining options at Bin 702 and Downtown Terrace. The former is a wine bar serving charcuterie boards, sandwiches and more; while the latter is a gourmet, quick-service spot with seasonal and farm-fresh fare.
In the heart of the downtown Arts District, Esther’s Kitchen offers a menu of seasonal Italian favorites and a covered back patio with ample seating, heaters, and misters. Visitors looking for a more intimate outdoor dining experience can dine in one of the restaurant’s private dining tents, which feature a small lounge area and fire pit.
Located in the Fremont East Entertainment District, rock ’n’ roll pizzeria Evel Pie offers covered outdoor dining on their front and back patios—with the latter including an outdoor bar and original murals.
Peyote brings a retro-chic, Palm Springs-inspired vibe to the area at Fergusons Downtown—including a patio framed with a lush cactus and succulent garden. The space features a fire pit, strung lights overhead and eclectic, mostly-Latin-inspired menus for brunch and dinner.
After closing for renovations, Park on Fremont in the Fremont East Entertainment District will reopen this spring with a whole new look—including an expanded, 2,200-square-foot garden patio. The restaurant offers a menu of elevated comfort food (including brunch service) and live music performances.
Oscar’s Steakhouse at Plaza Hotel & Casino is set to open a new outdoor patio this spring. The space will boast views of downtown Las Vegas and serve the same menu of steaks, chops, seafood and more as its main dining room.
Outdoor Dining off the Strip
AREA15’s Illuminarium features a covered patio at its Lumin Café & Kitchen. Visitors can enjoy creative American cuisine and unique cocktails while taking in a lush and tranquil environment complete with floating white oak trellises, pendant lighting and other garden-inspired elements.
Two walls of folding patio doors open up the dining room to an expansive patio at Downtown Summerlin’s Trattoria Reggiano. The restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine from family recipes passed down through three generations.
Visitors can take in the lush green landscape, waterfalls, koi ponds and more while dining al fresco at JW Marriott Las Vegas and Rampart Casino at The Resort at Summerlin. Outdoor options are available at Hawthorn Grill, serving steakhouse fare and American classics; Jade Asian Kitchen and Noodles, a Chinese eatery with a teppanyaki menu; and Spiedini Fiamma Italian Bistro, which serves pizzas, pastas, seafood and more.
Overlooking the artificial yet picturesque Lake Jacqueline in Las Vegas’ Desert Shores community, local favorite Marche Bacchus has been serving French and Mediterranean favorites for nearly 15 years. Now helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Bradley Ogden, the bistro and wine shop’s expansive patio is complete with convenient comforts such as ceiling fans and a fireplace.
Station Casinos has a handful of outdoor dining options across the Las Vegas valley. Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca, a rustic Italian restaurant at Green Valley Ranch Resort, Casino & Spa, has a picturesque patio complete with a fire pit. The Henderson resort also brings back its Spring at the Terrace pop-up for the season on Friday, March 24, allowing visitors to take in scenic valley views in a garden-inspired space while enjoying libations and light bites. Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar, an American eatery at Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa, features a spacious patio with a bistro-style setting and an extensive menu spanning several cuisines. The Summerlin resort also offers al fresco dining at the newly opened location of Lotus of Siam, a local Thai favorite with James Beard Award credibility. The restaurant features a retractable roof and a Champagne Party Brunch complete with guest DJs and bottle service. The resort recently opened Rogue Room, a poolside venue featuring elevated French-inspired fare, cocktails and a diverse entertainment lineup.
The open-air shopping mall Tivoli Village features several restaurants with outdoor seating that face its cobblestone-paved streets and Tuscan-inspired architecture. Ada’s Food & Wine offers patio dining, a menu of shareable plates and desserts, and an extensive wine list. Just around the corner, Al Solito Posto boasts two covered patio spaces complete with heaters and misters. The Italian restaurant’s side patio also features couch seating ideal for pre-dinner cocktails.
Accessible from the resort pool at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Kassi Beach House features outdoor seating, a coastal Italian menu and a soundtrack supplied by DJs.
