Elysian Living Gives Gratitude to First Responders for Their Service at Ely at Fort Apache

Elysian Living thanks first responders, including the Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for keeping the community safe by responding quickly to the massive fire that broke out at the property that was under construction, Ely at Fort Apache on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021.

A total of $10,000 donation was made to the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation, $5000 to each organization on behalf of The Calida Group, Elysian Living’s parent company.
“Our first responders worked quickly and efficiently to contain the fire and to ensure that no one was injured,” said Douglas Eisner, co-founder of The Calida Group, “we are so grateful for their service.”

“We greatly appreciate the donation from the Calida Group as they recognize the response from the police and fire departments,” said Tom Kovach, executive director of the LVMPD Foundation. “We will use the donation to expand the continued efforts to keep us all safe through community engagement programs and support of the police department.”

“This generous donation will help us, through our Burn Survivor Initiative, to give aid to burn victims and their families throughout the year. We couldn’t be more appreciative of The Calida Group for their support!” said Erlantz Maguire, board member for the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation.

Additionally, the multifamily real estate developer thanked the first responders by distributing over 300 meals from local business Foodie Fit to each station involved. “This was all the least we could do for our first responders,” said Eric Cohen, co-founder of The Calida Group, “we can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done.”

A commemorative banner will also be placed on the fencing surrounding the property, giving recognition to the first responders.
