Three top-flight health and wellness practitioners will teach methods for getting healthy fiscally, physically and emotionally in the new year on Jan. 10 at the Health & Wealth in 2023 Workshop at The Coop Cowork, 5955 S. Edmond St. in Las Vegas.
Bestselling author and radio show host Lisa Chastain will join Anahata Chiropractic owner Dr. Joshua Sharpe and The Evidence Based Practice of Nevada co-owner Dr. Whitney Owens in leading the event, running 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. All three will explain experiences and strategies.
Admission fees of $20 will support The Inspiring Children Foundation and its #notalonechallenge.
Chastain, who has been featured on-air on CNBC and in print in O, The Oprah Magazine, Entrepreneur magazine and Fortune magazine, has spent 20 years coaching and mentoring women. She uses her Real Money Formula to teach the personal finance fundamentals and money mindset that let women develop financial savvy and gain financial independence.
Sharpe, a former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer, worked in the corporate world and ran his own marketing consulting agency. After his brother was diagnosed with leukemia, Sharpe went back to school, aiming to improve health care. He became a chiropractor and helps people understand body dynamics and the links between posture, stress and hormones so they can live happier, healthier lives.
Owens, a licensed psychologist, specializes in helping adults, couples, families and groups overcome depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relational issues and addictions. She also helps businesses and communities promote workplace mental well-being.
Owens has spent more than a decade on the Nevada Psychological Association’s executive board and was the group’s president in 2013-14. She now serves as the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners’ president and as a Nevada Physicians Wellness Coalition resource line facilitator.
The #notalonechallenge has participants record 30-second videos to remind people that although they may struggle with mental health troubles during the year-end holiday season, there are people and resources to help.
