Created by Clique Hospitality, Laughing Buddha, Easy Donuts and Proper Bar will join an exceptional culinary and cocktail lineup that includes Seoul Bird, Wexler’s Deli, Shalom Y’all, Pizzaoki and more.
Clique Hospitality has announced three new additions to Proper Eats, the company’s elevated food hall opening this winter at ARIA Resort & Casino. Laughing Buddha, Easy Donuts and Proper Bar, each created by Clique, will join an exceptional collection of global cuisine and cocktail offerings that includes Seoul Bird, Wexler’s Deli, Shalom Y’all, Pizzaoki and more.
“Proper Eats’ culinary director, Jason McLeod, brings his incredible talent and expertise as both a chef and restaurateur to the development of each of these new concepts,” said Andy Masi, founder of Clique Hospitality. “Plus, our team of talented mixologists, who have created cocktails for some of Vegas’ most popular bars including The Barbershop and Gatsby’s, are developing an unbelievable drink program to enhance the cuisine at Proper Eats.”
With an emphasis on traditional Japanese fare, Laughing Buddha will be home to steamy, delectable ramen noodles and fragrant broths. Known in the Land of The Rising Sun as Tonkotsu, savory broths made with miso and pork bone will be paired with robust ingredients such as fresh sweet corn, crispy bean sprouts or succulent stir-fried pork belly.
The complexity of the broths will bring out the aromatics of the vegetables, proteins and ramen noodles, which will unite in the bowl for a texture that is rich and silky with deep umami flavor and numerous health benefits.
Sweet tooths will find the ultimate gratification with Easy Donuts, a charming coffee and donut shop with craft coffees and an array of specialty donuts, including seasonal creations that will delight taste buds.
At the heart of Proper Eats will sit the exquisite Proper Bar, complementing the mouthwatering cuisine that surrounds it. With multiple seating options and an array of high-definition TVs ideal for catching the latest in sporting events, the bar will be a vibrant hub for the contemporary food forum.
While upbeat music plays overhead, talented and creative mixologists will craft tried-and-true drinks and expertly curated cocktails, such as the Gin-Z, a thirst-quenching combination of gin, Aperol and Prosecco or the Kosher Style cocktail, a refreshing mixture of vodka, iced tea and lemonade.
Proper Bar will be a destination in and of itself for sipping cocktails, wine or beer while taking in views of ARIA’s luxurious pool through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Masi, McLeod and Oliver Wharton, founder of A Perfect Bite, have curated a collection of incomparable destinations for the design and culinary-focused food hall.
Previously corporate executive chef of Consortium Holdings, McLeod is behind some of San Diego’s top dining destinations including Born & Raised and Ironside Fish & Oyster.
Wharton has long been one of the foremost hospitality experts in Las Vegas and has worked alongside renowned chefs, José Andrés and Michael Mina, as well as has held pivotal roles within some of the city’s hottest restaurants and clubs.
These exciting additions join what will an unmatched collection of culinary and cocktail offerings, including the first Seoul Bird outside of London; the only Wexler’s Deli outside of Los Angeles; New York’s breakfast-centric Egghead by Tao Group Hospitality; Clique’s new Temaki, serving fresh, innovative handrolls and other traditional sushi dishes; Portland, Oregon favorite, Shalom Y’all; Steve Aoki’s Pizzaoki; and Lola’s Burgers.
