Chef James Trees and LEV Group Development Partner Carlo Cannuscio have announced the opening of Al Solito Posto (‘In The Usual Place’), an invigorating new restaurant and lounge offering refined Italian classics and elevated cocktails. The doors will officially open on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
Warm, neighborhood-style service driven by distinguished professionals and refined classic dishes executed at the highest level will define the experience at Al Solito Posto, which will face the grand fountains at the main entrance of Tivoli Village.
With Chef Trees guidance, Executive Chef Emily Brubaker (formerly of Joel Robuchon/Sage) heads the kitchen team, while Beverage Director David Bonatesta (formerly of NoMad) will lead the bar program. Cannuscio (formerly of Valentino, Bartolotta, Twist) will oversee the dining room in concert with General Manager Andy St. John (ex-Bouchon, Carbone).
Al Solito Posto promises to have you look at dishes like Minestrone, Eggplant Parmigiana and Chicken Piccata with new eyes, while the fun, sophisticated bar menu (some highlights: A clarified Milk Punch, fig-infused Old Fashioned twist and Italian-inflected Apple Martini) will delight all lovers of a fine cocktail. Italian wines, naturally, will dominate the cellar.
“In creating Al Solito Posto, we wanted to take the opportunity to look at Italian food, and really the whole neighborhood restaurant experience, in a truly new way,” said Trees. “We are really proud of the amazing team that’s come together at Al Solito to make this a reality,” said Trees. “They are all stars, very dedicated to bringing local Las Vegas the best. It’s that simple.”
“All of us look forward to welcoming old friends, and new ones, to this wonderful room,” said Cannuscio. “To me, it already feels like a second home.”
