Iconic R&B Group, The Next Movement, to Celebrate its 50th Anniversary with Two Sensational Nevada Room Performances April 22-23

Included will be appearances by All FIVE Original Group Members – The First Time in Over Five Years

The Nevada Room, one of Las Vegas’s premier supper clubs featuring delicious food and incredible live entertainment, is proud to present the 50^th Anniversary Celebration of the iconic R&B group and Las Vegas musical fixture, The Next Movement, on Friday and Saturday, April 22 and April 23, 2022.

For the first time in over five years, these two iconic performances will feature all five original group members on stage together: Samuel Thomas Jr., Earl Shelby, Carnell Haywood, Alonso Pickens and Guy Sutton, along with The Next Movement Band.

Named “The Best Vocal Group in Chicago” by Oprah Winfrey, the group’s Las Vegas roots are deep, opening for comedian Redd Foxx at The Thunderbird and have played numerous venues throughout the city to great acclaim via an ever-growing fan base over the past 30 years.

The Next Movement was originally formed in 1972 on the South Side of Chicago, as five friends gathered outside their apartment buildings to sing the songs that they loved the most—the music of The Temptations, The Chi-Lites, The Jackson 5ive, James Brown, The O’Jays, and Stevie Wonder, to name but a few.

From these humble beginnings, the amazing group that they formed—The Next Movement—is still going strong and growing, proving that incredible music and fastfriendships can indeed stand the test of time.

General admission tickets for The Next Movement’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, which are $85 per person plus tax (or $150 plus tax for two), which includes a delicious Southern supper, incomparable live entertainment, and a limited-edition 50th Anniversary takeaway memento. A limited number of front row table seats are also available at $115 per person plus tax (or $200 plus tax for two).
