The City of Henderson presents its first-ever American Indian Heritage Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 13, on Water Street Plaza in downtown Henderson.
This free event is a tribute to Native American culture and includes live music, storytelling, traditional dance and special performances by Martha Redbone and the Yellow Bird Indian Dancers.
Martha Redbone is a Native and African American singer known for her unique mix of folk, blues and gospel music infused with traditional Native American sounds.
Yellow Bird Indian Dancers is a Native American performing arts group that presents dances, songs and stories that introduce audiences to the spirit of Native American culture.
