Certified as a Tree City USA, Henderson is home to more than 30,000 municipal trees
Join the City of Henderson at its annual Arbor Day celebration on Friday, March 22, at Morrell Park.
The ceremony will celebrate the beauty and importance of trees to the Henderson community and will feature tree planting and dedication, activities and more.
Winners of the Arbor Day poster contest, a competition opened to Henderson fourth graders asking them to reflect on their perception of how trees impact their lives and the environment, will also be announced. The winners will lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the ceremony.
Henderson has been recognized as a certified Tree City USA for over 30 consecutive years and is home to more than 30,000 trees within its municipal forest.
