Newly installed fitness court is located at Cornerstone Park
The City of Henderson, in partnership with the National Fitness Campaign, will host a ribbon-cutting event to formally celebrate the opening of its newest fitness court at Cornerstone Park on Saturday, Oct. 16.
The new fitness court is the first of its kind in the nation as it features iconic Keith Haring artwork wrapped around the workout equipment. The City of Henderson was one of 10 cities in the country selected to curate an art-inspired workout center through the 2021 National Fitness Campaign.
Designed to accommodate users at all fitness levels, the court features QR codes that include a variety of workout routines designed for the equipment and an app that can be downloaded.
This is Henderson’s second fitness court through the National Fitness Campaign, with the first being installed in the Cadence community.
The National Fitness Campaign is a quality-of-life consulting firm founded in San Francisco, California that offers grant funding, project management and master planning services to cities, schools and sponsors to build the world’s largest network of outdoor gyms.
