The Las Vegas Bowl Huddle kicks off a new initiative to recognize the Community Champions of Las Vegas Metropolitan Area residents, who continually demonstrate kindness and provide a helping hand in their everyday activities since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Las Vegas Bowl Community Champions reflect the southern Nevada community and represent what makes Las Vegas great. They are diverse and represent all walks of life. They can be heroes in uniform or the more unsung, contributing to the betterment of our city in ways that are not as obvious. They are passionate about serving our community and leading by example in extraordinary ways with a strong sense of purpose. Simply put, they represent the best of Las Vegas. A Community Champion could be a front-line worker, a grocery store clerk, a delivery driver, a teacher, a coach, and of course, a first-responder too.
The Las Vegas Bowl’s Huddle Committee will choose and recognize the selected 125 Community Champions for their service to our community during a once-in-a-lifetime, On-Field Recognition, at the Las Vegas Bowl Game held at Allegiant Stadium on December 30. To nominate a Las Vegas Bowl Community Champion, visit: https://lvbowl.com/the-game/community-outreach/ before November 14, 2021. All honored Community Champions and their guests will enjoy a festive evening with treats and food and beverage provided by fellow community partners.
The next Las Vegas Bowl, December 30, 2021, will be the first to take place at the recently completed Allegiant Stadium and feature a new matchup between teams from the Pac-12 Conference and the Big Ten Conference. The Las Vegas Bowl is one of 17 bowl games owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN.

Las Vegas Bowl Huddle:
In 2017, the Las Vegas Bowl Huddle was created to support the overall mission of the Las Vegas Bowl, while tackling areas not traditionally supported under the Las Vegas Bowl Committee. The Huddle works to elevate the bowl’s presence in the Las Vegas community, provide additional support to our charitable partners and assist in managing bowl week events. This group of women has nearly doubled in size in 2018 and now additionally has participation from sports management students looking to pursue a career in college athletics or event management.
Social Media: There are Community Champions around us every day. Join us in recognizing them. Nominate your Community Champion today.
