“This walk is a great event and one that I am very proud to be involved, for 12years now, as we honor my friend Danny, a great supporter of the local community, and promote cancer awareness for all as we recognize the courageous children battling cancer and life-threatening illnesses each day,” said Donny Osmond. “This is a great way for us to come together to provide funding for children suffering from cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, renal, blood and immunologic diseases. In the years that I have been involved, I have seen so many families greatly affected by these illnesses, and I know the great work NVCCF does to help in their struggle.”
NVCCF’s Champions Run for Life following the 5K celebrates children ages two through 18 with life-threatening illnesses. These special participants will be applauded and cheered as they run, walk, or wheel themselves around a specially designed course and will receive a medal for bravery in their battle against disease. The community is invited, at no cost, to cheer on and support these courageous children.
