A ribbon cutting and celebratory piñata smashing kicked off the grand opening celebration of Las Vegas’ first Yonutz yesterday.
Tony Bahu, founder and CEO of Yonutz; Jennifer Bahu, COO and Jordan Leach, vice president of franchise development; were joined by Representative Jeff Waufle from Las Vegas Councilwoman Fiore’s office, who welcomed Yonutz to the district and presented a plaque to honor Yonutz’s residency.
Tony Bahu spoke first, followed by Leach, Jennifer Bahu and finally Waufle. Following remarks, the group gathered for the ribbon cutting ceremony and posed for photos.
Leach took the inaugural first swing at the piñata, while guests lined up outside Yonutz’s doors eagerly awaiting their first tastes of the fantastical dessert offerings. The first 50 people in line received one free SMASH Donut, one of Yonutz’s signature over-the-top donut-ice cream creations. Once the piñata broke open, one guest, Lucas Christensen, found the golden SMASH Cash coin, winning him free SMASH Donuts for a year. The piñata also held other SMASH Cash options, including free donuts, milkshakes and more.
Guests enjoyed live entertainment by DJ Omari, face painting and a sampling of Yonutz’s signature treats including SMASH Donuts, ice cream, milkshakes, mini donuts and more.
