NBA Player Stephen Jackson to Host Community Food Donation Event for Local NonProfits, Press Conference 7/18 – 9am

Former NBA Player, Stephen Jackson, and the National Children’s Campaign is helping to pack and provide 2 weeks of meal bags for local non-profits, Serving our Kids Foundation and Girls Athletic Leadership School to raise awareness of children experiencing hunger across the country and especially in Clark County.

When:  Sunday, July 18

Time:  7am – 11am (Food Distribution: packing Meal Bags) Press Conference at 9am

The National Children’s Campaign, Feeding Children & Families Across America travels across the country to bring awareness to intersectional social justice issues: food insecurity, economic, health, environmental, education, racial justice issues, and more. 

At each stop, they will provide approximately 1200 families with boxes of fresh fruit, vegetables, and pantry items. Additionally, we will host panels and roundtable discussions as well as rallies and marches. We will hear from experts, athletes, activists, and political leaders to elevate & amplify the issues of America’s Children and Families.

The National Children’s Campaign is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that serves as a catalyst to inspire and empower America to make children a priority by promoting health, education, safety, economic and environmental security through the power of media, grassroots, internet partnerships, business and community leaders, celebrities, and experts.
