Now until June 30, HomeAid Southern Nevada is accepting donations of clothing and other personal items ahead of its Pop-Up Shop on Saturday, July 10 in partnership with CARE Complex.
The event will be held in the heart of the Corridor of Hope at 200 Foremaster Lane to benefit the homeless community.
“This pop-up shop aims to supply those experiencing homelessness with basic necessities to feel more comfortable in their daily lives,” said Nat Hodgson, Chief Executive Officer of Southern Nevada Home Builders Association. “Through these efforts, those individuals may feel more well-equipped to becoming self-reliant.”
The event will provide hundreds of homeless individuals with the chance to “shop” for donated clothing sourced from the local community. In addition, those served can receive backpacks that include items such as shampoo, body wash, lotion and sunscreen packets.
HomeAid Southern Nevada, with the support of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, leads various community outreach efforts that serve vulnerable men, women and children in our communities. The organization recently completed its second of four custom home renovations on the New Vista Ranch home site, benefitting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
