Following the recent release of his critically acclaimed memoir, Eat a Peach, Chef David Chang is extending Majordōmo Meat & Fish’s successful summer weekly specials through November. The modern steakhouse with a diverse range of Asian and American food traditions will continue Sunday Smokehouse, a special night of Chef’s choice barbeque, and Major Monday, offering an extensive selection of oak-grilled meats and an opportunity to discover new favorites on the wine list at a 30% discount.
The weekly dining experiences can be enjoyed in the main dining room famous for large sharable meat dishes, tableside presentations, cart service and great cocktails or in the new Private Lounge, a secret hideaway for a night of fun.
“We want to give industry people and locals a place to go for a great meal at a good price ” says David Chang, “We offering something you can’t recreate at home and we want it to feel fun, different, and celebratory.”
Sunday Smokehouse
The smoker is fired up every Sunday, for a “Chef’s Choice” menu featuring a selection of three proteins for the ultimate Sunday smokehouse barbeque, along with three sides and one dessert. Menu selections change every week, constantly evolving to reflect what the culinary team is smoking each week, and could include:
- Meats: chicken wings, whole chickens, pork ribs, pork shoulders, sausage, pork belly, short ribs, and beef brisket
- Sides: potato salad, coleslaw, French fries, mashed potatoes, collard greens, corn pudding, corn bread, hush puppies, King’s Hawaiian rolls, macaroni, and seasonal fruit
- Cocktail cart: To add to the experience, tableside service will highlight the classic cocktail.
The Sunday Smokehouse menu is $45 and includes three proteins, three side dishes, and one dessert.
Seafood additions including smoked oysters, smoked salmon, shrimp (grilled or fried), grilled live Maine lobster, lobster rolls, and live Alaskan king crab and beverages are available a la carte.
Major Monday
Every Monday, Majordōmo kicks off the week with an extensive selection of oak-grilled meats from Prime steaks including Wagyu filet, bone-in rib eye, and New York strip cooked over an oak wood fire and a major 30% off of the entire wine list.
The wine list was inspired by the wine program at the original Majordōmo in Los Angeles, which is considered by LA locals to be one of the city’s most exciting. Diners can enjoy a dozen wine selections by the glass, or more than a hundred available by the bottle. These include a section of Skin-Contact White Wines, a quirky choice sometimes called “orange wines” or “amber wines,” that are perfect for those ready to try something different on the wine list. Of course, those who want something different in other varieties will also find sections appropriately labeled as such, with 20 unexpected red options and 22 thrilling white options to try.
Guests can also add Majordōmo Meat & Fish signature dishes like macaroni & chickpea, served with black truffles, smoked whole-plate short ribs, prime rib, and a selection of other seafood and meat; and a trio of Bing bread, a Majordōmo favorite, topped with your choice of spicy lamb, chickpea Hozon, and honey butter.
Majordōmo Private Lounge
The new Private Lounge at Majordōmo Meat & Fish is a perfect hideaway for a night of fun, featuring a secret karaoke experience. Set up for full dining opportunities, a private cocktail lounge or a place to watch the big game, this intimate space includes exclusive amenities, like a full karaoke set up and a private restroom. The room also features a pass-through window from Chef David Chang’s adjacent diner, Moon Palace, to keep the Tastys, Hot Chips, and drinks flowing all night long.
For daytime needs, the space can function as a non-traditional meeting room with coffee and pastries or for private lunches. The space comes equipped with audiovisual capabilities.
The private lounge is available by advance reservation only.
