With a new manager, new players, and a new uniform the Lights make their long-awaited return to Cashman Field to play in front of their home fans after playing 4 straight games on the road.
With the Lights’ Fam behind them the Lights got out to a fast start with many shots on goal, but it wasn’t until the 19th minute when Cal Jennings sneaks a ball past the keeper to put the lights up 1. With that, the Lights were able to carry the 1 to 0 lead into half.
The second half looked much like the first half, with the Lights putting together threatening pushes on goal until Bryce Duke slotted one past the keeper to double the Lights’ lead.
After 90 minutes, the Lights secured their clean sheet and their first win on the young season by defeating the Tacoma Defiance by a score of 2 to 0.
