GRAMMY Award-Winning Band to Donate a Portion of Las Vegas Concert Proceeds to Dreamer Moms
Latin America’s most influential rock band MANÁ has announced a heartfelt national social impact initiative designed to uplift the Latino community. As the GRAMMY Award-winning band prepares for its upcoming Las Vegas show at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday, Sept. 17, MANÁ will donate a portion of the proceeds from this show to Dreamer Moms.
With a long-standing passion for giving back, MANÁ is using their México Lindo y Querido tour platform to support several important causes, including human rights, environmental causes, and more, in each market in which they will perform this year.
“At the heart of MANÁ is the belief that our music can be a vehicle for social good. Our concerts are a celebration of life and hope where all are welcome,” said Fher Olvera, lead singer of MANA. “Through this initiative, we want to do tangible good in the communities where we perform by highlighting and financially supporting organizations that are striving to help the Latino community.”
Dreamer Moms is a project of DREAM Big Nevada. They serve Nevada’s immigrant families through direct services and by empowering community members to advocate for themselves and others in similar situations.
Serving and empowering the community is at the center of what they do. They cultivate civic engagement by educating the community about how immigration, education and other issues intersect with their lives.
Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the Las Vegas show will go to The Latino Victory Foundation, a national voter registration partner, to assist this non-partisan effort in raising awareness about Latinos’ contributions to the United States and building a greater understanding between Latinos and other communities.
The Foundation seeks to strengthen the country through conversation and uplift the values of inclusion and civic engagement. The Latino Victory Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that engages in research, non-partisan civic engagement, strategic communications and leadership.
As one of the highest-selling Latin touring acts of all time, MANÁ’s current tour has sold over 400,000 tickets and counting. The band’s recent Los Angeles arena residency at Kia Forum has sold over 200,000 tickets and counting across 16 shows.
MANÁ is the first Spanish-language rock band to include their handprints on the Hollywood Rockwalk and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
MANÁ has sold millions of albums worldwide and has released 11 albums of original songs along with several live albums and compilations.
