“Ice Dump” at Cowabunga Bay – Thousands of Pounds of Ice Into Wave Pool, Sunday, 3pm
This Labor Day weekend, the Cowabunga Bay and Cowabunga Canyon waterparks present the Fire & Ice Festival, three full days of non-stop performances, September 2 – 4, celebrating the thrill of fire and the chill of ice including a thousands-of-ice dump into the Cowabunga Bay wave pool on Sunday, September 3.
At Cowabunga Bay, three days of continuous, ice-themed performances will feature ice fairies and go-go dancers, an ice mermaid, ice stilt queen and a mystical icy mirror rabbit on stilts.
Performances are from noon – 6 p.m. DJ sounds at the wave pool and face painting for the kids are available from noon – 6 p.m. each day.
Plus, guests will enjoy an “Ice Dump” of thousands of pounds into the Cowabunga Bay wave pool at precisely 3 p.m. on Sunday.
At Cowabunga Canyon, three days of fiery entertainment will present fire fairies and go-go dancers, a fire mermaid, fire stilt king, incredible fire performers. A spectacular fire show will take place at the wave pool every hour on the hour from noon – 6 p.m. DJ sounds will fill the air along with expert face painting also are scheduled from noon – 6 p.m.

All three days of the Fire & Ice Fest are free for season pass holders. Fire & Ice Fest hours at both Cowabunga Bay and Cowabunga Canyon are Saturday, September 2 and Saturday, September 3, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Monday, September 4, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Both waterparks offer twisting raft rides, winding tube slides, free-fall body slides, massive wave pools, winding lazy rivers and attractions exclusively for the little ones.
