The cool down begins! Waterparks, Cowabunga Bay and Canyon are hosting a “FIRE AND ICE” festival all Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2 – 4 . The event will feature winter-themed thrills and activities including face painters, fire & ice queen, stilt walkers, fire performers, ice dumps and mermaids. First Responders Enjoy Free Admission at Cowabunga Vegas Waterparks Heroes Weekend, September 9-11 Healthcare workers, firefighters, police, EMS and military personnel will enjoy free admission at Cowabunga Bay in Henderson and Cowabunga Canyon in Summerlin as both waterparks host Heroes Weekend, September 9 – 11.
First responders can get in free to both waterparks, all weekend long, by simply presenting a badge or identification at the ticket window. Additional single-day tickets can be purchased at either park’s ticket window or at www.cowabungavegas.com.
“This is our way of saying ‘thanks’ for all these dedicated professionals do to keep our community safe or care for us in a time of need,” says Cade Vereen, Regional General Manager of Cowabunga Vegas. “We’re delighted to host an entire weekend for our local heroes.”
Heroes Weekend hours at Cowabunga Bay and Cowabunga Canyon are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. every three days.
Cowabunga Bay is located at 900 W Galleria Drive in Henderson, while Cowabunga Canyon is located at 7055 S. Apache Road near Warm Springs Road in Summerlin.
Together, the two Las Vegas-area water parks span an impressive 45 acres, boasting over 50 raft rides, tube slides, and free-fall body slides.
