Today, February 27, Chef Jeff Henderson and the Chef Jeff Project hosted another “Beignets and Chicory Coffee and Jambalaya Pop Up” Special guests, Las Vegas Raiders Safety, Johnathan Abram, Local 1607 North Las Vegas Fire Department, Clark County Commissioner William McCurdy II, class members of 2020 Leadership Las Vegas, and Shaundell Newsome of the Urban Chamber of Commerce, who learned about the culinary life skills training program.
Raiders player Johnathan Abram graciously donated $2500, Gaudin Porsche $1000, Local 1607 donated $250 to help with food supply and program costs for the underground kitchen.
The Chef Jeff Project is a multi-faceted organization that creates opportunities for disenfranchised youth, formerly incarcerated individuals and those seeking a second chance. Through master-class coaching, in-person and virtual culinary and hospitality training, as well as customized boot-camp experiences.
Located at 2987 North Las Vegas Blvd, Suite 9, North Las Vegas, 89030, Suite 9, the Chef Jeff Project hosts weekly pop-ups each Saturday, 8 – 11am and the public is encouraged to attend. “The Chef Jeff Project RELAUNCH empowers the second-chance students of tomorrow. We believe food changes lives and the spirit of hospitality can be used to speak a language of healing and restoration for generations to come,” says Chef Jeff Henderson.
