Palms Casino Resortwill honor the songs and spirits of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and spirits trailblazer Sammy Hagar with a Cinco de Mayo weekend “Baja Beach Bash.”
The poolside party is complimentary and will be held at SOAK from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 7.
Called “the ultimate Sammy Hagar tribute band,” Three Lock Box will honor the Red Rocker’s hits that have spanned decades, from Hagar’s seminal hard rock band Montrose and multi-platinum solo career to his ride as the front man of Van Halen, Chickenfoot and his latest best-selling supergroup, The Circle.
The party will showcase cocktails made with all of Hagar’s spirits to honor the occasion.
They include Santo tequila margaritas, Beach Bar rum mojitos and buckets of his canned cocktails.
Hagar, who famously created a lifestyle born in Cabo San Lucas that celebrates spirits, rock ‘n’ roll and sunny days by the beach, launched a career in spirits that began with Cabo Wabo tequila in the 1990s.
Today, Hagar’s behind an award-winning portfolio of spirits that includes Santo Spirits, Sammy’s Beach Bar Rumand Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. Santo Spirits, a partnership with tastemaker, Guy Fieri, was founded in 2017 and now offers Santo Tequila Blanco, Santo Tequila Reposado and Santo Tequila Blanco 110, as well as the innovative Mezquila – the world’s first tequila/mezcal blend.
Beach Bar Rum, a partnership with rock icon, Rick Springfield, comes in three varieties: platinum white; Red Head, made with macadamia nuts; and Kola Nut Spiced.
The award-winning rum was founded in 2012 and is currently produced in Puerto Rico. Beach Bar Rum steeps island flavor into his latest venture, a line of sparkling rum cocktails in a can by Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co., which debuted September 2021.
The party starts a countdown to Hagar’s summer performance at The Pearl Theater at Palms, on Saturday, July 15. Tickets to the show sold out in under a week.
