Hollie Chadwick is the new Police Chief of the Henderson Police Department
Deputy Chief Chadwick is a 21-year veteran of the City’s police department
Henderson City Manager Richard Derrick announced today Deputy Chief Hollie Chadwick was selected to serve as the new Police Chief of the Henderson Police Department. Chadwick will take the Oath of Office on Tuesday, May 2.
“This is an exciting moment for our City and police department,” said Derrick. “It gives me great pride that we have promoted from within our police department and selected a Chief who will continue to enhance public safety through strong leadership and institutional knowledge of our City.”
A veteran of the Henderson Police Department for 21 years, Chadwick has held several leadership positions, including sergeant of the patrol and problem-solving unit, lieutenant overseeing SWAT, K9 and Armor, captain and most recently, deputy chief.
In 2022, Chadwick graduated from the FBI’s National Academy, an advanced investigative, management, and fitness training for senior officers who are proven leaders within their organizations.
Chadwick holds a doctorate in public service leadership from Capella University. She is also a UNLV graduate, earning a master’s degree in kinesiology and exercise and a dual bachelor’s degree in athletic training and sports and fitness management.
Chadwick’s promotion becomes effective on Monday, May 1.
An Oath of Office ceremony will take place during a Special City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 2, at 2:45 p.m. Media is encouraged to attend.
