The Just One Project receives sponsorship for its monthly Farmers Market from Claggett & Sykes Charitable Foundation
Partners Sean Claggett and Will Sykes, along with Managing Partner Matt Granda, of the Claggett & Sykes Law Firm presented The Just One Project with a $135,000 check at The Just One Project’s new location in southern Nevada on Friday, March 10, as the firm kicked off its first initiative launching the Claggett & Sykes Charitable Foundation. This generous donation from the Nevada-based law firm will be used to sponsor The Just One Project’s monthly Farmers Market, a personalized shopping experience that provides fresh fruit and vegetables to families in need.
“It is truly our pleasure to fund the Farmers Market for The Just One Project,” said Sean Claggett, Founder and Partner of the Claggett & Sykes Law Firm. “With this partnership, we are excited to announce the launch of the Claggett & Sykes Charitable Foundation as our commitment to bettering Nevada. With our recent expansion into Reno, our reach will develop even further. Our firm motto is ‘Two Communities, One Firm,’ and we intend on leaving our charitable footprint on our state.”
Since first opening the Claggett & Sykes Law Firm in 2005, the company says its focus has been on giving back to the community as a shared value of the firm as both a business and as individuals. The Claggett & Sykes Charitable Foundation was launched based on the firm’s recognition that charitable actions go beyond financial donations. The firm believes that to make a difference, it is imperative to perform thorough research on local charities, develop relationships with its leaders, and have the difficult conversations necessary in understanding the need within Nevada’s vulnerable neighborhoods.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of the Claggett & Sykes Charitable Foundation,” said Brooke Neubauer, CEO of The Just One Project. “This amazing donation supports our on-site Farmers Markets that provide fresh produce, groceries, recipes and more to our clients. To the partners, leaders and staff at Claggett & Sykes, we are thankful beyond words for your ongoing partnership and your commitment to giving back to the Las Vegas community.”
Claggett & Sykes Law Firm has big plans for both Las Vegas and Reno. On the basis of its aforementioned slogan, “Two Communities, One Firm,” the law firm puts community first. Whether it’s obtaining trial results or volunteering, Claggett & Sykes is dedicated to making Nevada a better place.
