AIQ Foundation 3v3 Charity Basketball Tournament – February 26th
AIQ Foundation is planning to announce its newest program, ‘AIQ Futures’, which would connect foster children with an entry into the workforce after aging out of the foster care system.
This program aims to connect foster children with employers that require extra hands, host career and job fairs, as well as host professional development workshops to help foster children build skills that are necessary for a future in the workforce.
This program will be announced at the AIQ 3v3 Charity Basketball Tournament on February 26th at the end of the event (around 4:30 PM).
This event aims to raise funding for this new program alongside monthly necessities drives. AIQ has joined hands with numerous organizations and businesses (schools, insurance agents, technology companies, medical practices, recruiting agencies, nonprofits, restaurants, etc.) across Las Vegas to host this event and is excited to launch this new program alongside the support of the community.
Alongside the AIQ Board of Directors, a representative from the Department of Family Services will speak on the foster care crisis that grips Clark County in order to spread awareness about the issue.
“AIQ has been an amazing partner for the children in foster care. Youth helping youth is an admirable quality. AIQ is very in touch with the needs of youth aging out of foster care. We admire this group of young community partners and appreciate all their work with us.” – Denise Parker, Community Liaison, Clark County Department of Family Services
“We are extremely excited to take our initiatives in foster care to the next level! Starting with donating suitcases and clothing, to running a tutoring program, to now helping connect individuals exiting the foster care system with potential job opportunities. AIQ Futures brings our initiatives to a full circle, helping these children become self-reliant and tackle life’s challenges head-on.” – Armaan Parikh, AIQ Founder & Director.
