ABOUT EXCITE ALL STARS Directed Initiatives for Youth is a highly respected, financially responsible, and legally recognized not-for-profit organization headquartered at the Excite All Stars Innovation Center, located at 4949 Bullard Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70128. Founded with a strong commitment to serving community needs, our mission is to shape kids into leaders who will change the world.
We achieve this by providing one-of-a-kind experiences in Academics, the Arts, & Athletics, coupled with leadership development training and empowerment programs for over 1000 youth annually. Our organization was born out of a desire to tap into the potential of our community’s youth. We identified a significant gap in the accessibility and engagement of STEM enrichment programs tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Our theory of change is simple: by sparking a passion for learning, improving academic performance, and fostering leadership capabilities, we can prepare our youth for a promising future.
Through our mentorship program, we instill a sense of community and resilience, equipping our students with the skills to navigate their journey toward healing. As a result, we are creating not just survivors, but leaders and change-makers who will positively shape our world. Our programs, which focus on the Arts, Academics, Athletics, Leadership, and Mentoring, are unique because we provide a holistic approach to youth development. Unlike similar services, we tailor our programs to meet the individual needs of our students, fostering a deep and meaningful connection with each one.
We are proud of our achievements, which demonstrate our commitment to our mission and our community. These include the “Innovate to Elevate” award from the US Soccer Foundation for innovation in engaging girls in sport in 2022, the Community Impact Award from Nike in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021, and being selected as one of only six organizations nationally for USTA Foundation’s “Blueprint for Success” program in 2022. We also received the Community Impact Award from Zurich Insurance North America in 2015. Despite these accomplishments, our work is not done.
