Shares Holidays Scholarship Project Donation Thru Nov. 18, 2022
The Clark County Medical Society Alliance (CCMSA) has selected Project Marilyn as its 2022-2023 charity of choice. Since July, CCMSA members and supporters have volunteered more than 88 individual hours and have packed 1,430 period kits.
They have period product collections at our events including monthly book club meetings and monthly luncheons. Its members and supporters also have links to Amazon and these products can be delivered directly to Project Marilyn.
Recently they hosted a private cocktail and shopping fundraiser at PRADA Crystals where 10% of all proceeds will be donated to Project Marilyn. A Spring Luncheon and fundraiser are also planned in March with proceeds benefiting the organization whose goal is to help end period poverty. For more information on the non-profit, to volunteer or to donate, visit projectmarilyn.com.
Additionally, the Southern Nevada community continues to suffer from an ongoing shortage of medical providers. “We have never been more aware of this need than during the recent global pandemic when our physicians, nurses, and other front-line medical workers have been stretched and stressed beyond limits. As a result, the families of these healthcare providers have suffered as well.”
At Clark County Medical Society Alliance (CCMSA), they strive to improve the health and well-being of the entire community. This includes inspiring individuals to enter the medical field, remain in our community upon completion of their respective programs, and build a stronger, healthier Southern Nevada. Since its inception in 1949, CCMSA has provided scholarships to deserving nursing and medical students in our community. To date, they have awarded over $580,000.00. This year, CCMSA will continue the tradition of awarding these scholarships to outstanding nursing and medical school students in Clark County, Nevada through our Holiday Scholarship Project.
CCMSA encourages all physicians, spouses, nurses, hospitals, and medical support businesses to help make a real difference for as many medical and nursing students as possible by participating in the Holiday Scholarship Project. Your donation will endorse and advance our commitment to improving the health of Southern Nevadans.
