The Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Department is looking for individuals who want a career in fire and emergency medical services.
Firefighter trainee recruitment will be open from Sept. 6 to Oct. 4, 2022, and candidates may apply at https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/lasvegas.
Recruitment is generally for entry-level candidates who meet the minimum requirements listed below:
- Possess a valid driver’s license at the time of application.
- Minimum 18 years of age, no maximum.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Nevada State or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician certificate on the date of conditional job offer.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is an I.S.O. Class One fire department. The department provides all fire suppression, prevention and education programs in the city as well as paramedic emergency medical services to the residents and visitors of the Las Vegas community.
The department also has a Bomb Squad, Hazardous Materials Team and Technical Rescue Team that provides services for the city and the rest of Clark County.
The Combined Communications Center (fire/emergency medical 9-1-1) also is located at Las Vegas Fire & Rescue headquarters.
