Weekly Henderson Farmers Markets
Shop for fresh produce and healthy, handmade products from a collection of local merchants at various locations in April. Each farmers market location will offer its own special experiences from group fitness classes, family activities and more. For dates, times and locations, visit cityofhenderson.com.
All month | Henderson Trail Hunt
Celebrate National Bike Month with a treasure hunt every day in May. Twenty-five treasure boxes will be hidden on Henderson trails. The first person to find a treasure box will discover a certificate inside that can be redeemed for prizes.
Five-night series | Shakespeare on the Plaza: Macbeth
Shakespeare returns to the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater for five nights of Macbeth performances on May 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28! Tickets start at $15.
Wednesday, May 4 | May the Fourth Be with You
Experience a galaxy far, far away unlike you never have before on the Water Street Plaza’s 42-foot-wide digital screen with surround sound. Star Wars Episodes VII-IX will be played on repeat throughout the day on May 4 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday, May 5 | Cinco de Mayo Fiesta 2022 featuring Marachi Nuestras Raíces
Enjoy a free fiesta on Water Street Plaza with Mexican cuisine, drinks and a special live performance by Mariachi Nuestras Raíces beginning at 5 p.m.
Friday, May 6 | Moms and Muffins
Children ages two to five can celebrate Mother’s Day early with a continental breakfast at Valley View Recreation Center from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tickets are $5.
Friday, May 6 | Upscale Craft Sale
Shop for a variety of products and handmade crafts, arts, jewelry and much more at the Upscale Craft and Yard sale at Heritage Park Senior Facility between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
May 7 – May 8 | Art Festival of Henderson 2022
Visit the free, two-day art festival on Water Street Plaza featuring hundreds of contemporary artists, unique crafts, home décor, entertainment and more.
Saturday, May 7 | Giant Garage Sale
Make old treasures new again at Henderson’s Giant Garage Sale! Community members are invited to peruse a variety of booths from 7 a.m. to noon at Black Mountain Recreation Center.
Saturday, May 7 | Mother’s Day Celebration
Celebrate your special role model for Mother’s Day filled with crafts and games. Dress for fun and a photo. Registration is required.
Saturday, May 7 | Opera in the Movies
Vegas City Opera performs iconic scenes from Hollywood classics reimagined with an operatic twist for free beginning at 7:30 p.m.! Featuring selections from The Godfather, Moonstruck, Casino, Pretty Woman, Disney’s Up and more.
Saturday, May 14 | Global Big Day
Come to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. to report your bird sightings along with 30,000 people around the world on Global Big Day! To add to the fun, the Bird Viewing Preserve is hosting an amateur birding competition with prizes.
Sunday, May 15 | 95.5 The Bull Country in the Park featuring Chris Lane
For the first time ever, 95.5 The Bull’s annual Country in the Park comes to Water Street Plaza in downtown Henderson! Enjoy a day of free, live music from some of country’s top rising stars—including multi-platinum artist Chris Lane!
Saturday, May 21 | Henderson Fire Station 82 Open House
Meet your neighborhood firefighters, check out firefighting apparatuses, tour the station and learn how you can help in an emergency during the open house starting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday, May 21 | Parents Night Out: S’more Summer Fun
As parents enjoy a night out, children ages seven to 12 can kick off the summer with archery, hiking, s’mores and stories by a campfire at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Registration is required and costs $20 per person.
Sunday, May 22 | Sunday Jazz Concert Series
Enjoy the sounds of jazz by The Groove Culture Band at the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve starting from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and tours of the preserve.
May 27 – May 30 | Field of Honor
More than 1,000 American flags will be on display throughout Memorial Day Weekend during the Rotary Club of Green Valley’s third annual Field of Honor at Cornerstone Park. Community members are invited to experience the spectacular display in honor of our nation’s heroes.
Friday, May 27 | Kids Night Out: Summer Vacation
As parents enjoy a night out, children ages seven to 12 can enjoy a night of events, games and arts and crafts at Black Mountain Recreation Center and Aquatic Complex. Dinner also is included! Registration is required and costs $20 per person.
Friday, May 27 | Slide into Summer
Join the annual Slide into Summer with water slides and an inflatable obstacle course at the Henderson Multigenerational Activity Pool. Registration is required and costs $5 per person.
Saturday, May 28 | Glow Bike Ride
Celebrate National Bike Month with a family-friendly neon bike ride at cornerstone Park. Neon bike decorations and glow bracelets are available for all participants. The ride will take place from 8:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. Purchased tickets and registration is required.
