Farrell Dillon is about to reach a performance milestone as the comedy magician prepares to celebrate his 100th show on April 3rd at The Magic Attic inside Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
To commemorate this landmark occasion, Dillon is giving away show tickets to 100 Nevada foster families.
Dillon’s decision to distribute complimentary tickets to foster families came after the entertainer and his wife, Amanda, worked at a transitional home for young adults during the height of the COVID pandemic.
“While we waited for the Vegas entertainment industry to recover from pandemic-related shutdowns, my wife and I decided to devote our time to a transitional home for young adults. We didn’t know much about this type of work, but we both decided to give it a shot and we are so thankful we did. As my wife and I developed genuinely loving relationships with these young people, and became an enriching part of their daily lives, the experience at the home instilled in us a renewed sense of gratitude and appreciation for our own family,” Dillon said.
With April being National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and National Foster Care Month coming in May, Dillon decided to celebrate the 100th show of his Bally’s residency by treating 100 foster families to a complimentary performance. To help organize the effort, Dillon collaborated with the Clark County Department of Family Services through the Clark County chapter of the Quality Parenting Initiative, a national movement for foster care change committed to ensuring that all children in care have excellent parenting and lasting relationships.
“Clark County’s Department of Family Services is grateful to partner with Farrell Dillon to ensure that children in foster care and their families are able to experience an activity that they otherwise would not be able to,” said Denise Parker, coordinator for the Quality Parenting Initiative. “This generosity gives the children in foster care a wonderful unique experience.”
Prominently featured on six seasons of the CW’s Masters of Illusion, Dillon’s upbeat approach to magic and quick-witted comedic style appeals to wide audiences that delight in his casual, accessible, and engaging stage presence. The acclaimed magician’s Vegas residency at The Magic Attic inside Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino launched in November, 2021.
“Las Vegas is more than just the world’s entertainment capital,” Dillon said. “It’s a city overflowing with amazing people that sincerely care about the welfare of their friends and neighbors.”
“As we hit our 100th show at Bally’s, we’re thrilled to share laughter, cheer, and magic with our new family in the foster community and with all the fans and friends that helped make our show a success.”
Presented by Ivory Star Productions in partnership with Pompey Entertainment, Farrell Dillon performs Wednesday through Sunday at 6 pm. Tickets are available at Bally’s Las Vegas Box Office, by phone at (702) 777-7776 or by visiting ticketmaster.com.
