Award-winning comedian will take the Dragon Room stage for one week only in April, tickets available now
The award-winning L.A. Comedy Club at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod continues to bring stellar comedy with Paul Ogata headlining the 8 p.m. show from Tuesday, April 5 through Sunday, April 10. Tickets for Paul Ogata, and other laugh-out-loud comedians, are available for purchase here.
Ogata has headlined shows around the world including Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. After being named “Funniest Asian-American Comedian in the U.S.” in the TakeOut Comedian Competition in 2004, the Hawaiian native was victorious in the prestigious 32nd Annual San Francisco International Comedy Competition in 2007, etching his name in comedy history alongside other winners including Dana Carvey and Sinbad. Called “an agent provocateur of cross-cultural hilarity” by Reader’s Digest, Ogata’s edgy and often-improvised show keeps audiences on their toes while the laughs keep rolling.
“A Collection of My Favorite Lies,” Ogata’s first hour-long special, made its debut on Amazon Prime in 2021. Ogata was also the first ever comedian to film a Comedy Central Asia half-hour special. He has been featured on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” the syndicated “Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen,” CBS’ “The Late Late Show” as well as appearances on Showtime and TBS. He had a guest role in the motion picture “Behind the Smile” directed by Damon Wayans and the short film “Amasian: The Amazing Asian.”
Ogata is just one comedian in a jam-packed lineup at L.A. Comedy Club, which offers three shows nightly at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Top national touring comedians headline the 8 p.m. shows, and include Jay Reid from Monday, March 28 through Sunday, April 3; Patrick Garrity on Monday, April 4; Paul Ogata from Tuesday, April 5 to Sunday, April 10; Quinn Dahle from Monday, April 11 to Sunday, April 17; Peter Berman from Monday, April 18 to Sunday, April 24; and Keon Polee from Monday, April 25 through Sunday, May 1.
