The English Hotel is set to have its grand opening in March but had a private ribbon cutting ceremony on the once in a lifetime date of February 22, 2022, at 2:22:22 p.m. featuring Mayor Carolyn Goodman.
Todd English, the world-renowned chef best known for his Olives and Figs restaurants, is expanding his already extensive portfolio of 22 restaurants to include a boutique hotel. The property, aptly named The English Hotel, will be the first Celebrity Chef boutique, non-gaming hotel at the exploding Arts District in downtown Las Vegas.
The four-story, 74-room hotel located at 921 South Main Street will be part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio Hotels. It will be destination themed, dog friendly and will have no resort fees. Guests will experience what it’s like to be a guest in Todd English’s home, with luxury furnishings, floor-to-ceiling soundproof windows, infinity view hallways and rooms, secluded pool and outdoor lounge and personal touches such as a family photo book for guests and various trees and plants dedicated to those involved in the hotel.
The main attraction of The English Hotel will be Todd English’s The Pepper Club, a Japanese/Mediterranean Asian fusion restaurant named after Chef English’s dog, featuring a sushi bar, teppanyaki grill and craft beer created by Beer District Brewing, made exclusively for the hotel.
While The English Hotel in Las Vegas will be Chef Todd English’s first foray as a hotelier, it will not be his last. Todd English already has plans to expand The English Hotel brand both nationally and internationally.
Todd English’s partner, global entrepreneur Keith Burkard has been a propelling force in The English Hotel global expansion plan with identified additional locations in Miami, New York City, London, Los Angeles, Beijing, and Macao China in the pipeline. Our distinctive discipline, innovative mindset and industry experience has ultimately enabled our portfolio to perform and grow even during tumultuous market conditions,” said Keith Burkard, Partner EHG Hospitality.
