In its continued efforts to boost the local economy and create jobs, Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno (GSR) will host hiring fairs every Thursday through the end of November. The job fairs will be held at the Grand Buffet every week from Thursday, Nov. 5 through Thursday, Nov. 19 to fill several available positions at the casino-resort.
Recognized as northern Nevada’s premier resort, GSR will host a job fair every Thursday through Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for housekeeping positions, including Guest Room Attendants, Clean Ambassadors, Utility Cleaner, Utility Engineer, Housekeeping Porter, Housekeeping Utility Porter, Housekeeping Special Project Lead and more. Then, from 2 to 5 p.m. every Thursday through Nov. 19, another job fair will be held for front of house food and beverage positions, including Hosts, Bussers, Food Runners, Servers, Bar Helpers and more.
The casino-resort will also host a job fair Thursday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 19 from 2 to 5 p.m. for gaming positions, including Pit Clerk, Poker Dealer, Table Games Dealer and Table Games Supervisor.
Additionally, GSR will host a security job fair on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 2 to 5 p.m., where the casino-resort will be filling several security roles including Security Officers, Special Reaction Team Officers and K-9 Officers.

The hiring events will follow the resort’s health and safety protocols developed in collaboration with health experts ahead of reopening in June. GSR Clean furthers the resort’s already rigorous sanitation protocols as well as implements mask use and social distance guidelines as well as hundreds of additional practices developed to minimize risk for guests and team members.
