Chef José Andrés was inspired by a recent visit to Las Vegas to offer his signature Tarta de Queso with an extra special touch, just in time for the holidays.
After tweeting to his followers about the promotion on December 1st from Jaleo at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, visitors and locals alike have been flocking to the restaurant to experience his festive Tarta de Queso y Trufa!
Seasonal white and black truffles and local honey are served atop Chef José’s Tarta de Queso, which originated in Northern Spain’s Basque Country and is baked at a high temperature to achieve an incredible golden exterior and a smooth, creamy center. It’s a light, fluffy and bronzed crustless cheesecake with notes of goat cheese that is much like a mashup of a traditional quiche, flan and custard all in one.
José Andrés’ ultimate holiday indulgence is available now through Thursday, December 30th at Jaleo Las Vegas, and guests can choose premium imported black or white truffles:
- Tarta de Queso with local honey and black truffles (Teruel, Spain) $60
- Tarta de Queso with local honey and white truffles (Piedmont, Italy) $125
