DISCOPUSSY, the after-hours dance haven in Fremont East at 512 E. Fremont St., presents special collaboration with Club Soda and Holy House featuring Will Clarke starting at 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24.
UK-based DJ and Billboard charter, Will Clarke, entered into the music scene in 2016 with the extremely infectious hit, “Booty Percolatin,” that culminated in a nomination for “Best Newcomer” at the annual DJ Awards. Clarke has built an impressive discography using his distinctive sound of infectious hooks and rollicking bass that has guided his sound. His range has led him to two Billboard Dance Chart #1s for his remixes of U2’s “Love Is Bigger Than Anything in its Way” and Rihanna’s “Consideration.”
The renowned DJ has managed to steamroll the hype with a career that has proven longevity after already catching the attention of the industry’s top players such as Adam Beyer, Maya Jane Coles and Patrick Topping. Along with top hits “Hallelujah” and “U Take Me Higher,” released on his new label, All We Have Is Now, Clarke is set to go on tour in 2022 for “The New Generation Tour.”
Conceptualized and designed by Corner Bar founder, Ryan Doherty, the centerpiece of DISCOPUSSY is a custom-built disco-octopus. The eight tentacled, articulated beast is made of more than 10,000 laser cut components illuminated by more than 5,000 individually addressable light emitting diodes. Controlled by state-of-the-art LED drivers, the sculptural display boasts refresh rates of well over 60 frames per second. Created by Keegan Olton in collaboration with Future TBD and Building 180, the tentacles present a colorful, visual light experience.
