SUSHISAMBA celebrated the official opening of its Las Vegas Tree Bar & Lounge with a festive bash at the new location at Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas on Tuesday night.
The event attracted “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne who made a surprise appearance, looking stunning in a magenta minidress with matching stilettos and gold hoops. Dressed in a Live Aid t-shirt, black pants and Off-White Pine Green Nike Dunk Lows, DJ Samantha Ronson kept the dance floor packed, spinning everything from classics to current hits.
Jayne posed for photos on the orange carpet before heading inside to her table, where she sipped Taittinger Champagne and tasted a variety of sushi, yellowtail tiradito, wagyu sliders and nigiri.
Jayne welcomed guests to her table to chat and snap selfies and was overheard commenting how beautiful the new Tree Bar looks and how delicious the sushi was. Ronson said this was her first show in a year and a half and was very excited to play live for fans after spinning virtually on Twitch.
Professional basketball players CJ Watson, Alan Anderson, Lorenzo Wade and Orlando Johnson were also in attendance, along with BMXer Ricardo Laguna, pinup model Sabina Kelley and mentalist Banachek.
Guests walked the orange carpet into the venue under the striking illuminated ancient banyan tree canopy, as contortionists dressed as tropical birds wowed the crowd.
Guests sampled a variety of SUSHISAMBA’s inventive dishes such as wagyu gyozas, Chilean sea bass skewers, sushi samba rolls, wagyu sliders and picarones (Peruvian donuts), along with signature cocktails including the Tom Yam, Caipirinha, Shiso Fine and Brisa Caliente.
An extension of SUSHISAMBA Las Vegas, which opened in 2008, the Tree Bar is inspired by the iconic sculptural design of the SUSHISAMBA London Tree Bar, presented in a unique and intimate way. The design blends seamlessly with SUSHISAMBA Las Vegas’s strong, structural features, dramatic swirling ribbons and graffiti art, offering guests a hidden oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas.
