Piezza, a DIY “weigh and pay” pizza restaurant with a drive-through, is now open at 5095 Blue Diamond Road in the Blue Diamond Decatur Plaza.
Pronounced pie-eetz-a, the family-friendly fast-casual restaurant’s mission is to provide good food made with quality ingredients at an affordable price in an environment filled with eclectic art.
Piezza was created to artfully blend traditional pizza pies and modern, creative pizza toppings using freshly sourced ingredients under one roof.
Guests build their custom pizzas themselves, starting with a base (including gluten-free options), then loading it up with their choice of 13 toppings. Pricing for the DIY pizzas is not decided based on the quantity of different ingredients, but from the weight of the finished product, allowing customers to truly customize their pizza without going over their budget.
In addition to traditional pizzas, Piezza serves calzones, strombolis, and breakfast pizzas. One of Piezza’s best selling breakfast pizzas, the “Logan Paul,” consists of house made pesto, swiss, gruyere, fontina, sliced corned beef, cherry tomatoes, and a sunny side up egg. Coffee lovers can also enjoy an organic cup of joe at Piezza with their breakfast pizza.
For guests on a time crunch or wanting to stay in the comfort of their own car, Piezza features a convenient drive-through flanked by a colorful oversized wing structure created by local artist Sean Keith.
“Piezza isn’t just a place for people to just grab pizzas and go,” said Co-Founder Alex Kreideh. “We want to create a unique dine-in experience, hence our local art, DIY options, and we are planning interactive activities for the future. Blue Diamond stood out to us because of the surrounding neighborhoods, making Piezza the perfect spot for families or someone looking for a quick bite on their lunch hour.”
Piezza is open daily 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. with future plans for 24-hour dining. For more information and updates about Piezza, visit piezza.us and follow on Instagram.
