The Nevada Dispensary Association (NDA), the state’s largest cannabis industry association, will host a webinar to discuss how terpenes are observed in cannabis.
The webinar will be live from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19.
The webinar will focus on the types and different uses of terpenes with Francis Jordan, a biochemist and scientific director at MA Analytics. The webinar will be moderated by NDA’s executive director, Layke Martin, and will evaluate other topics including the entourage effect; terpenes as analgesic; terpenes found in food; and using food to mimic a specific strain.
Terpenes are oils found in nearly all plants that contribute to the unique flavor profile and smell. In cannabis, terpenes impact how different strains are metabolized, impacting how specific effects are associated with specific strains.
