Tickets for remaining 2021 performances now on sale
Famed singer, comedian, ventriloquist and “America’s Got Talent” winner Terry Fator is following up his record-breaking Las Vegas residency with an all-new show, “Terry Fator: Who’s the Dummy Now?” Fator previewed the show for several weeks at the New York-New York Theater inside New York-New York Hotel & Casino, and will move into his new space at the resort’s Liberty Loft beginning Wednesday, Aug. 11.
“Terry has been an important member of our MGM Resorts Entertainment family for more than a decade, playing a crucial role in our city’s entertainment landscape,” said Mike Neubecker, New York-New York’s President & COO. “We look forward to opening Liberty Loft next month, our property’s newest entertainment venue, and welcoming Terry’s fans with an intimate show experience.”
Fator said, “Plans to move into New York-New York have been over a year in the making, but like many of our plans over the past year, they were sidetracked! I am thankful to the MGM Resorts team for allowing me to perform at the resort, and am touched by the tens of thousands of fans who came out to support me this year. When we started to talk about Liberty Loft, I was thrilled to discover it affords us the opportunity to create the ideal viewing experience for my audience.”
Featuring new songs by more than a dozen iconic singers, “Terry Fator: Who’s the Dummy Now?” takes Fator and his audience on a whimsical journey of discovery, as we learn how and why the world-renowned ventriloquist created many of his beloved cast of puppets. Each reflects a different part of his life, his personality and the people he’s met along the way. Fator is joined onstage by a cast of characters that includes: Winston, the Impersonating Turtle; Maynard Tompkins, the Elvis impersonator; Duggie Scott Walker, the annoying neighbor; legendary country singer and ladies’ man, Walter T. Airdale; crooning soul singer Julius; and many others.
Fator became a household name in 2007 when he won Season Two of “America’s Got Talent,” which showcased his unique brand of entertainment that combines singing, comedy and unparalleled celebrity impressions. After 25 years of honing his skills at venues and county fairs across the country, the Dallas-bred entertainer’s “AGT” win catapulted him into the upper echelon of entertainers, and eventually led to a record-breaking 11-year run at The Mirage, where he performed in front of millions.
Fator is scheduled to perform Wednesday through Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $34.95 (plus tax and applicable fees). Tickets for shows through the end of 2021 are now on sale and available for purchase at NewYorkNewYork.com or by visiting any MGM Resorts International box office.
